Hello,

I was wondering if we can use Triple Speed Ethernet Megacore function with Altera Max10 series FPGA.

If the answer is yes, Is it going to be free of cost?.

Thanks,

Manoj

Hi Manoj,

As I checked the https://www.altera.com/products/intellectual-property/ip.html, seems like this megacore is not supported in Max 10.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. But I kinda feel that , may be this link wasn't updated to include Max 10 yet, as this is the newest release.

Hi Manoj,

As I look into the TSE user guide (https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/ug/ug_ethernet.pdf), it seems like got mention about support for Max 10 device. Probably the web is not updated. You can try to create a test design to see if can include and compile with TSE?

You can refer to this thread for further details as well - http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49181

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. By any chance, do you know if that IP is free of cost?

Hi manoj,

You would need to buy a license for the TSE IP.

If you don't have a valid license, I believe you still can use the Open Core plus feature for evaluation purpose.
