Hello All.
I have this adapter and it doesn't work as should.
First, it was installed in HP DL120G5 and FreeBSD 10.0 with igb, works fine for couple of days then hangs. Now it don't show link, don't start and when I try to change it settings - replies "media change is blocked due to SOL/IDER session".
Then it was reinstalled to Windows machine, drivers was installed and it shoes no errors. But when I try to change settings, insert cable - it don't see link, sometimes disables card, and show error - device cannot start.
How can I repair this card? May be new FW will help?
Kirill

Hi Kirwp,
Thank you for the post, Please provide additional info:
When you said you try changing the setting , are you referring to changing the speed of the network adapter??
Is a KVM session being opened when you try to change the setting?
On the part of the Windows system, you can use PROSet software's Diagnostic option to check on the network adapter. Go to the Adapter property-> Under Link Speed Option-> Click on the Diagnostic option to test the NIC. (http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/cs-016041.htm Network Connectivity — What is Intel® PROSet Software and How Do I Access It?)
We provide warranty replacement in case the network adapter is faulty, here is the link for your reference http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/cs-013806.htm Network Connectivity — Warranty Replacement Form for Intel® Network Adapters

Hello.
Changing settings mean speed/duplex, NIC hangs even if no cable inserted. All setting don't use KVM, only RDP to server using other NIC or direct control.
I tried to use Diagnostics from PROSet, it success all tests except last, on last test it hangs also and test didn't finish.
I'm from Russia, shipping to other country using RMA is long time, but if no chances to alive this card, I'll try.

Kirill

Hi Kirwp,
Thank you for the updates. Just would like to double check if you are using the latest driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50397/Intel-Gigabit-ET-Dual-Port-Server-Adapter Intel® Download Center ?
If yes and the NIC still failed, you may contact Intel Customer Support at your location for RMA.
