Hi everyone,
I'm setting up an old Dell GX270 with the latest version of Ubuntu (10.10), and having a hard time getting Ethernet connected to my network.
I've downloaded and installed the latest driver for wired Ethernet card from SourceForge. Running sudo make install completed without any errors. I restarted, but still not able to connect to my home network.
I've got an orange light on the NIC, which is supposed to indicate a 100 MB connection according to Dell. I've verified the cable is good using another Dell Mini 10 also running Ubuntu 10.10 using a wired connection.
What else can I do or need to do to get this machine networked?
Kindest regards, and thanks in advance,
Brandon
