Unable to get 25G capability with xxv710

Both cards are intel xxv710 they are connected with XXVDACBL3M DAC cables.

It's even not possible to show 25G capability with a single card with it's two ports connected back to back with the same cable.

Hello JCoul2,

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

Upon checking, the XXVDACBL3M is for XXV710 adapter. Kindly refer to the link below:

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ethernet-sfp28-cables-brief.pdf

And for us to further investigate this issue, please provide the details below:

  1. Please provide a photo of both sides of the NIC focusing on the markings of the XXV710.
  2. What is the OS used?
  3. Is the connection works with 10G?

If you have questions, please let us know.

Best regards,

Michael L.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your help. I got an Intel SFP28 DAC cable to be able to connect directly two servers.

Unfortunately this cable does not allow a 25G connexion via a QFX5120-48Y Juniper switch.

Best regards,

Jean-Luc
