Unstable ethernet with I225-V

I'm having trouble with ethernet connections sometimes randomly and sometimes not.

In some cases, I have trouble with my ethernet when I'm playing multiplayer games.

Sometimes even just watching livestreams on my browser it disconnects.

Sometimes my ethernet will work the whole day and other days I get disconnected many times.

I'm using a stationary PC that was custom-built by a local privately owned gaming computer builder company.

I have tried to update my ethernet drivers many different ways but I haven't found a way that works for me yet. The current version I have installed on my network card is 2.1.3.15. Which I installed with the "Intel® Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack" version 28.2.1

I don't know if it would help to update my bios version because I don't really want to but if it's necessary it would do it.

I can't remember when this started occurring but I think it started a long time ago and then it was fine and now it's bad again.

My important specifications are the following.

Motherboard: Gigabyte B560M Aorus Pro AX

Network card: Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V

BIOS version: F8

Let me know if I missed something. Also if you need more information

Hi MouseDelay,

Good day.

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

Regarding your issue, since you have updated the latest version of driver 28.2.1, I believe driver has been updated in latest version. However, if you would like to give a try to reinstall the latest version 28.2.1 with this one way that may help you, you can refer below:

>Open https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15084/intel-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html

>Recommend to update via device manager instead of exe.file.

>Open zip file you downloaded above, follow steps below:

File Release 28.2.1->PRO2500->Winx64->choose NDIS68 (for Win10,Win11 & WS22) or Win11 for NetAdapterCx driver (Windows 11)

If you have tried this before, we advise you to refer back this issue to the local privately owned company that you purchased the PC before for any latest update of driver or firmware and technical support information.

Best Regards,

I updated it via the device manager today and for the whole day, I haven't had any problems. If I get problems in the future I will try and contact the place that built my PC but it has unfortunately gone out of business but I'll try anyway. As for an alternative, I would try and send it to a PC repair shop or something like that.

Thank you for the quick response and have a good one.
