Update driver for Killer E2500 v1

Hello!

Please update the driver for Killer E2500 v1.

At the moment, the latest driver version is 9.0.0.50.

Driver ID: VEN_1969&DEV_E0B1.

Intel recently updated the driver for Killer E2500v2 to version 1168.002.0909.2021 in Killer Performance Suite 3.1121.1048. This driver has added support for RSC (Receive Segment Coalescing).

I think it's not that hard to add similar support for Killer E2500v1.

If you (Intel, Rivet Networks) are not able to update the driver yourself, then ask Qualcomm Atheros for help.

Please pass the information to your Intel engineers so that they, together with Rivet Networks and Qualcomm Atheros, think about updating the driver to enable RSC (Receive Segment Coalescing) support.

Hello Ivagin,

Based on your post, I have noticed that your product is a Legacy product and this product is being discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, this also means that Intel does not have plans to update the driver for this product (Killer E2500 v1).

I recommend you to check this situation with the manufacturer of your unit for driver and firmware since Intel does not develop, store or provide these drivers.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

Hello!

The manufacturer of the "Killer E2500 v1" module is Rivet Networks. You Intel bought Rivet Networks and now you Intel must provide full support for Rivet Networks products.

The manufacturer of the MSI laptop cannot update the drivers since it does not have the source codes for this. The source codes are available only from the developer Rivet Networks, which was bought by Intel.

Based on all that has been said, my request is justified!

Hello Ivagin,

Your product Killer E2500 v1 is a "Legacy" unit which means that it has reached an "End Of Support" status.

The Killer E2500 v2 is still under the support and that is why we are still releasing new driver versions. What MSI does is to take our generic drivers and customize them to work properly with their specific device (laptop) and that is why we recommend you to check with them for proper drivers.

The fact that MSI does not have any new drivers is because we are not releasing new generic drivers for a product that is currently out of support.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

The MSI support service gave me this answer:

Thank you for telling us this information, however, we can't update the driver for E2500v1 due to intel's neglection of updating killer drivers for out-of-support Products.  Thank you once again for your understanding of this situation.

Also, you have added NetAdapterCx support for E2500v2.

* Network Adapter WDF Class Extension (NetAdapterCx).
