I can't replicate the issue but every few weeks my NIC disables itself and I have to restart my computer to get it to work again since disabling / re enabling in Device Manager stalls.
From searching online, "Receive Side Scaling" is the reason. Why would this be the case? Would this be due to the manufacturer of the motherboard or Intel? I tried Asus' drivers and also tried the latest Intel drivers - doesn't matter.

Hi Andy_D,
Thank you for posting in Wired Ethernet Community.
If the NIC is integrated to your motherboard, manufacturer can customize the driver and alter features to better fit in their system. I'd suggest to contact ASUS regarding your concern.
regards,
Vince

Hi Vince. There really isn't a resolution - neither the drivers that Asus provides or Intel's latest helps. Reaching out to Asus hasn't made a difference either

Hi Andy_D,
Please share the NIC model installed in your ASUS system. You've mentioned to disable "Receive Side Scaling" in your initial post, does it fixes your issue if that feature is off?
regards,
Vince
