I have question about compatibility of NIC with Intel's transcievers?
I have two transcievers made by Intel FTLX8571D3BCV-IT (E65689-001) and want to plug them into X520-DA2 (E10G42BTDA) for iSCSI booting?
I searched Internet but found nothing specyfic about about my question.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the post. The finisar FTLX8571D3BCV-IT you mentioned is the supported fiber module for X520-DA2 server adapter, please refer to the website below, scroll down further you will find the table that list the supported fiber module:
Hope the above information help.
I'm concerned with this article:

See table Features and Specifications.
DA means Direct attach?
BTW. These transcievers are Intel's product, not Finisar. : )
Thank you for the reply. Yes DA refers to direct attached. The X520-DA2
server adapter supports fiber optics as well. Please refer to this website for clarification:
"Can I mix different SFP module types and cables on a dual port adapter from the Intel Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520 Series?
Yes. You can install any mix of supported SFP optical modules, SFP modules, or direct attach cables on the same dual port adapter. You can plug any supported module into any port."
