I'm pretty sure since my eyes fortunately work, but can an Intel engineer please verify whether this is a genuine X550-AT2 or a very obvious poorly attempted counterfeit?

There's a photo of the front of the chip right there. You can even read "X550AT2" on it, if not very believably (aside the obvious visual differences to a genuine chip, where's the underfill?). As for the back, if you mean you want me to desolder the chip from the board and show you the back of that... I won't be doing that, I had to return it to the major UK retailer and Intel partner that sold me this counterfeit X550-T2, for a refund. Here's a photo of the back of the PCB instead.
Or perhaps are you confusing the X550-AT2 with the X550-T2. The former is an Intel ethernet controller, i.e. a chip. The X550-AT2 is used by the X550-T2, an Intel network adapter, i.e. a card. (The X550-AT2 is also used in network devices made by other manufacturers.) I'm not asking whether the X550-T2 as a whole is counterfeit, since it very obviously is, I would just like an Intel engineer to confirm whether the claimed X550-AT2 chip (previously pictured) on the counterfeit X550-T2 card is also a counterfeit.
I already have provided clear front and "back" photos of the X550-AT2! Though to quote my first reply, to your first post:

Here's a photo of the entire front of the counterfeit X550-T2 card (not X550-AT2 chip which to repeat myself again, is what I've been trying to ask about all along), though I do not know why you want it. I could very well be asking about whether a claimed X550-AT2 chip on another manufacturer's card was counterfeit.
With this in mind what is a photo of the whole card going to tell you? I could understand if you were asking for board scans, which unfortunately I do not have the equipment to provide, but not a photo. The chip and the area around the chip was already clearly pictured in my initial post, which seems as good as you are going to get with regards to determining whether the X550-AT2 chip is authentic (such as by checking the alphanumeric sequences printed on it to determine whether they point to a chip actually produced by yourselves, or whether the chip looks as it should; for the record, it looks clearly visibly different from known authentic X550-AT2 chips I've seen in the past).
Please enlighten me if I'm missing something obvious and making a fool of myself, because I would not wish to repeat the same in future.
I'm afraid I do not have a photo of the whole front of the card with the heatsink off as I did not think it would be necessary, so you'll have to piece it together with the first picture I posted specifically showing the probable counterfeit X550-AT2 and the area around it, which was what I am asking about.
