X550 - NVM Update and driver problems. Counterfeit or OEM NIC?

Hi

I did by a new Intel X550 T2. identification in device manager seem ok with "Intel converges NA X550-T2".

Visually the card seem like any other x550 I had dealt with.

I run into 3 issues:

1. NVM update fails with unsupported - I never had such issues with other x550s

2. With driver 29.3 both ports stop working under Win11 after some hours. System is not reachable. When I login via IPMI I see error Code 43.

Old Windows driver 4.1.219.0 seems to work, at least the last 4 hours no disconnects.

Attached is acreenshot of NVM failedupdate and the SSU file.

thx

Hi

It seems it was an OEM card. I know that Intel doesn't support OEM cards but it would be very useful for the nvm update tool to just spit out:

NIC is OEM of BRAND X - not supported by this tool

that would save many ppl a **bleep** ton of trouble
