Please share the following information that would help in checking your request. 

1. Kindly share more details regarding the issue X710-DA2 does not initialize. Is it being detected from your BIOS and OS or the card does not work at all?

2. When was the issue first encountered?

3. Please share the PBA of the adapter. You may refer to the link below on where to find the PBA number. Providing photos of the adapter focusing on the markings (white sticker) found on the physical card will be highly appreciated for us to double check on it. The PBA consists 6-3 digit number located at the last part of the serial number. This would help us identify if you are using an Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) or retail version of Intel Ethernet Adapter.

1. The card shows up in lspci and nvmupdate64e, but as it does not function, it does not return any network devices/adapters. So no ip/ethtool outputs are available.

2018 or so, most likely from ingram micro; it's been sitting around for a while. The mfg date on the card says 12/2015.
It did not work on Windows either.
