Driver: 1.18.370
NVM: 9.40
Windows Server 2022
First time installing this NIC into a new server.
1st port (left side) connects to DHCP and our network without issue.
2nd port (right side) does not connect to our network.
- Moving the cable from the left port to the right port results in Network Connections showing the adapter stuck in "Identifying..."
- Settings > Network & Internet shows "You're connected to the internet" in red, bold type, and it states: "Unidentified Network, Public Network" (left side states "Network, Public Network")
- MAC for this port is seen in BIOS, DHCP is Enabled (all settings are identical to port 1)
- ipconfig/all shows this port is not reaching DHCP.
We're using the same cable plugged into the same patch panel port, can anyone see a reason why the 2nd port of this NIC will not connect to our network, where the 1st port will?

Hello Kevin3456,
Thank you for your posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Based on the information you provided, could you please verify if the latest driver was installed? We have the latest released version 29.0
Additionally, please inspect the second port physically. Ensure there are no bent pins or debris obstructing the connection. You could also try to swap the network cable with a known working one to rule out cable issues.

Hello Irwan,
It looks like the second port on that NIC was defective.
PROset was giving a Cable Link Status: Failed error during a connection test. We acquired a different NIC and updated its driver and firmware, both ports are working.
Regards,
Kevin
