X722 LOM unable to negotiate to 1Gb?

We are struggling for a few days, trying to connect a server with an X722 LOM (dual port) to a switch that has some 1gb available ports only.

Can you help me to understand which media type is supported? e.g. 1000base-SX or 1000base-T (RJ45)?The documentation I've found so far is somehow confusing and E10GSFPSRX connector seems to be unable to negotiate at just 1Gb (10Gb is not an option).

1.) System Support Utility(SSU) log of your system. This will allow us to check your Adapter details and configuration. Kindly refer to the steps below.

a- Go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/91600/Intel-System-Support-Utility and download the software.

b- Open SSU.exe

c- Mark the box "Everything" and then click "Scan".

d- When finished scanning, click "Next".

e- Click on "Save" and attach the file to a post.

2.) Please share the website on where you downloaded the driver

3.) What is the brand and model of your motherboard?

4.) Exact model of the switch

Hello Crisselle,

the motherboard is HGST PCH-4;

the drivers have been downloaded from the Intel website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/139349/Intel-Ethernet-Network-Adapter-X722-Series ;

the switch model is Huawei S5720 equipped with SFP-GE-SX-MM850 connectors.

Output of SSU is attached.

Mentioned on product brief of Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter X722, only 10GbE single-rate optics are supported. Please visit page 3 of this link for more details.

Since this is an OEM on-board Ethernet controller, it would be best if you can also get in touch with Hitachi for the supported transceiver on this controller. They might have customized drivers and software to enable or alter features on your system. Thus, they are in best position where you can seek assistance so you don’t lose features or customizations of the Ethernet controller.
