Hi MindSpeed,
Thank you for posting in our Intel® Ethernet Communities Page.
To give you the best answer for your question, please provide the following information:
1. Is the X722 built-in to the Super Micro Server board or is it a separate card?
Thank you for reading this message. Looking forward to your reply. Should we not get your reply, we will follow up after 3 business days.
Best Regards,

Hi MindSpeed,
Thank you for the quick response.
Built-in cards have custom NVMs supplied by the motherboard manufacturer.
Based on page 7 on the document for recovery issues, https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/application-notes/recoverymode-appnote-rev1-0.pdf, Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with customer NVMs must provide the custom NVM in the NVM update package.
Due to this reason, as much as we would like to assist you recover that adapter, you need to get in touch with your motherboard manufacturer to have your issue resolved.
Please also set your expectations that recovery mode has restrictions, and you can find it on page 5 of the document referenced above.
We will check back with you after 3 business days if we do not hear from you.
Best Regards,
Alfred S
