We've been having this issue on several of our machines, we get something like
Apr 2 15:12:46 pc kernel: [62804.716320] do_IRQ: 1.34 No irq handler for vector
in the syslog, all network communications are stuck and sometimes I'm unable to establish SSH connections
we are running Ubuntu 20.04 with 5.4.0-163-generic kernel version
the problem is much more pronounced with Intel IGB 5.6.0-k that gets installed with the kernel (or any apt upgrade operation), the problem can happen every 2 days
we manually update our machines to IGB version 5.13.16, the problem happens much less frequently, maybe every 4 weeks, doesn't happen on some machines
it's a very intermittent problem, very hard to catch, is there a way to get more diagnostic information? or maybe some flags that we can turn on in driver build to better identify the problem?
edit:
we have ICO310 Axiomtek DIN rail PCs, with dual I211 ethernet interfaces
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03)
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03)

Hello Sherif,
Thank you for contacting Intel.
I hope you are doing well. Could you please share a snapshot of the defective part with the serial number visible? Additionally, please let us know if this product was purchased separately or with the machine.
Best Regards,

Thanks Azeem,
The ethernet controllers are built into the motherboard, we're using an ICO310 DIN rail computer with dual ethernet

I don't know if MAC addresses can help, they are 00:60:e0:79:50:52/53 for one of the computers
we do see the problem on all computers, so I'm not sure if there's one with a defect
i will try to get a computer serial number and some pictures
