i219-V IEEE-1588 PTP Support - Does it exist?

The product page states that the I219-V Ethernet Controller supports IEEE-1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP), but there is nothing in the datasheet that mentions it or describes its functionality whatsoever.  Does anyone know if the I219-V does in fact support IEEE-1588 (PTP) and if so, is there any other documentation that details the 1588 functionality on the I219-V?
