Hi,
We are using the following Ethernet NIC in pour server -
d8:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller X710 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 02)
d8:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller X710 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 02)
d8:00.2 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller X710 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 02)
d8:00.3 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller X710 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev 02)
This issue we are facing is, for certain VLAN IDs the NIC is not forwarding the packets to the right interface, in fact its not being accepted by the NIC.
Using the "ethtool" we are able to verify that the packets are reaching the NIC and the below stats confirm that.
port.rx_unicast: 69971989. >>>> This counter gets incremented.
But the following counter is NOT being incremented -
rx_packets: 80120521 >>>>>> This counter does NOT gets incremented.
Note that we are seeing this issue with the latest driver upgrade and are unable to find out where the packets are getting dropped.
Can someone help with debugging this further?
Thanks,
Santosh
