I'm using an E810 NIC on Debian 12. The ice driver from Debian 12 6.1.0 kernel does not support E810 NIC. It report errors:
[ 1.068027] ice: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection E800 Series Linux Driver
[ 1.068030] ice: Copyright (c) 2018, Intel Corporation.
[ 1.068123] ice 0000:01:00.0: BAR0 I/O map error -22
[ 1.068224] ice: probe of 0000:01:00.0 failed with error -22
[ 1.068296] ice 0000:01:00.1: BAR0 I/O map error -22
[ 1.068395] ice: probe of 0000:01:00.1 failed with error -22
I downloaded ice source code 1.12.7 from e1000.sf.net and built and installed it. Then I removed the old ice module and probe the new ice module, but it crashed.
How can I get a working ice driver for E810 for Debian 12?
Thank you

Hi Jiez,
Good day and thank you for reaching out to Intel Community Support.
Please kindly refer to the below link for the supported OS
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025890/ethernet-products.html
As per the article, Debian 12 is currently not supported for the E810 NIC. You may try to use Debian 11 instead as it is an supported OS for the E810 NIC.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Faez_Intel

Hi jiez,
Good day.
Could you help to gather the SSU logs for us to analyze further on the issue? Refer to the link below on how to gather the logs:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000008563/ethernet-products.html
Also, may I know if you have tried other version of the ice drivers and verify if it works?
Thanks,

I don't have Debian 12 installed now. I'm using CentOS 7 on which ice 1.12.7 works fine.

Hi Jiez,
Good day.
Understood that you are running on a different OS now for the NIC to run. As suggested earlier, you may refer the compatibility of the OS for the NIC based on the link as below:
