intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) 1225-V extremely low upload speed

Hello, I recently purchased a new gaming computer and have been having issues with the ethernet cable plugged in. The wifi works fine, but with the ethernet plugged in, youtube videos load in the lowest resolution and constantly buffer, I cannot download large files off the internet (it will start the download and then drop to 0 mb/s and never goes up from there). Here is a list of things I've tried to resolve the issue:

1. Flushed dns

2. Fresh install of windows 10 (and updated all drivers)

3.  In device manager for the 1225-V, I disabled TCP Checksum Offload (IPv6) (I read that IPv6 can cause issues)

Any ideas of what else I can do?

Hi EricLud,

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

Please note that your device with Intel I225-V network chip is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) product and our support is limited, but I will do my best to help you further.

For us to further check the issue, please provide the following details.

- May I know the model of your system?

- Do you experiencing similiar issue with direct ethernet connection to router/switch?

- Can you share with us on the system report? Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility as following:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000008563/ethernet-products.html?wapkw=ssu

Firstly, please kindly refer the below link and follow the steps provided in order to mitigate the issue.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057261/ethernet-products/gigabit-ethernet-controllers-up-to-2-5gbe.html

Secondly, proceed with testing if issue persisted:

- Please try to disabled that Energy Efficiency Ethernet and Ultra Low Power Mode settings on the driver. You can do that with the following steps:

1. Open Device Manager.

2. Double-click Network adapter: Intel Ethernet Connection I225-V

3. Click on the "Advanced" tab, change values for following:

- Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to "Off"

- Speed & duplex to "Auto negotiation"

And this settings, should be apply on your switch or router after ensuring all connected devices have latest drivers:

- Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to "Off"

- Speed & duplex to "Auto negotiation"

Looking forward to hear from you.
