intel i219-v onboard nic wake up from sleep problem

Hi,

I have a B150M-DH3 F6 gigabyte board with a intel i219-v onboard NIC. Using windows 7 x64 pro. Clean install on 01/01/2017.

Symptom :

When computer resumes from sleep mode, link speed changes to 10mbs and I lose my network connection.

I tried :

- newest intel drivers

- rolling back drivers

- turning off all power saving options in NIC preferences

- forcing 1gbs speed in NIC preferences

- forcing 100mbs speed in NIC preferences

- fiddling with BIOS settings (no power saving settings in BIOS for onboard NIC)

All to no avail.

I usually need one (sometimes two) reboots to fix the problem.

Please help!

Found a workaround :

if I wake up from sleep by using keyboard or mouse, link changes to 10mbs, stays stuck there and no internet connection until reboot

if I wake up from sleep using case power button, everything works fine

Any explanations as to why this might be?

Hi Nerfolt,

Thank you for the post. I would suggest you to un-install Intel driver then try check with Gigabyte for their latest customize driver. Have you tried upgrading the board BIOS?

Hello,

I tried both the driver on the bundled cd-rom and the driver on the gigabyte website, to no avail. Both are intel drivers as far as I can tell by the way.

The latest revision of the motherboard bios only adds support for newer CPUs so I doubt it'll change anything with the network controller.

Regards,

N
