intel nic drivers 19.3 huge 6000+ dpc latency spike once a few secs

hi, i would like to report that the new intel nic drivers version 19.3 that just released recently has huge 6000+ dpc latency spike once in a few secs.

my specs

Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection

windows 7 SP1 32bit + lastest windows update

i downgrade to intel nic drivers previous version 19.1 and the problem is just gone.

I noticed that several of the latest drivers for my NIC, "Intel Desktop CT" doesn't really provide new drivers, that is up-to-date. So it seems nothing is changed. Except that I'm missing PROset tabs and other optional stuff that had been working before. I installed the latest package "Intel Network Adapter Driver 22.1" dated 3-15-2017, but in the properties for the adapter it says 05-26-2015 and driver version is 12.7.28.0. So I guess I can't really say anything about this driver.

@Blackkatt: Any news? Have you tried it out?

And can Intel please provide any info as what is going on, how the investigation is going?

Hi folks, here´s an update from Sweden....

Reinstalled Windows 10 (Windows 7 has so many problems on my system now, so i scraped it).

All the latest windows update (some KB mentioned DPC problems).

Downloaded and installed the new NIC drivers from intel (22.1)

Newest drivers for all my hardware (chipset, nvidia etc)

Turned off the "Energy stuff" in NIC settings as "Hlidskjalf" and some others suggested.

The problem is gone. After a long gaming session yesterday with Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City (10hours+), not a single issue.

I am so happy

I HOPE it will stay this way, and its so good to use the full potential of my build again. It was driving my crazy. After 6 f*cking months of this shit. Jesus.

I think the Windows Update did it. Thats just my speculation, but Windows 10 has caused me so many issues.

I'm sorry that Windows 7 didn't work properly on your system, but I'm glad you sorted it out in the end with Windows 10! I don't know what system/computer setup you have, but if your components are "too new", Windows 7 might not support it, as it would on older hardware (lack of proper drivers). Thanks for the update and follow-up, though (and by the way I'm a swede too, how about that)!

Sorry to say, but my problem is back.

Its not as bad as before, its like one hickup per 20 minutes or so, and the hickup is mostly shorter, but its there. So strange. Have no idea whats going on now .

So sick of this, haha. At least its better so i guess, just keep waiting for new drivers and bios is the only solutions.

This thread seems to be dead, almost...

I made the move to Windows 10 a few months ago to test out Creators Update and how it performed, and it was actually alright. For the first time I can run Windows 10 on my old computer without the hickups that I experienced before. But there are so many other issues and problems plaguing Windows 10 that I might make the move back to Windows 7, in due time. I can actually run all the "In-Depth Latency Tests", software that comes with LatencyMon at the same time as audio is playing! I should stutter like crazy, and I thought it did in Windows 7, but not on Creators Update. I guess they put some effort in it for musicians and other audio folks!

The problem is almost gone for me. No large hiccups in a while. I have noticed one or maybe two small ones in the last month. So its getting better...

So, new BIOS update for my ASUS z-170-a board and new drivers from INTEL (chipset, lan etc) has solved the issue for me.

Just wanted to let you know.
