"PF reset" error on i40e driver and XXV710 card

hi

xxv710 card up/down Repeatedly on ubuntu 16.04 kernel: 4.15.0 and generate below message in syslog

i40e version: 2.7.29

netmap capture version: 13.0

 

syslog error:

kernel: i40e 0000:01:00.1: TX driver issue detected, PF reset issued

Thank you for that additional information.

Just to ask, have you already tried upgrading the NVM of the ethernet card? Please note that upgrading the NVM of an ethernet card only works with intel distributed retail cards.
