Hi,

Aiglex 7 series FPGA 10G RX is not working on our custom board.

Implementation & Observations:

We have developed firmware for the 10G interface for the Apollo Agilex SOM board and tested it to work fine. The Apollo Agilex SOM board is connected to the 10G Ethernet port in the switch. The link is established between the Apollo board and the Ethernet switch. After trying to send some UDP packets from the Apollo board. Pc is connected to the Ethernet switch. Now we can able to receive the UDP packets in PC via Wireshark. In Apollo, the board was able to receive packets from the Ethernet switch which was verified via a signal tap (adding the RX data and RX data valid signals in signal Tap). Now the same firmware is implemented in our custom board only change is pine assignments. The Apollo SOM board is connected to the custom board (40G QSFP to four 10G SFP+ splitter cables). The link getting established is verified by sending some UDP packets from the custom board able to see the packets in Signal Tap(SOM board) and vice versa when we transmit the packets from the SOM board to the custom board, we can’t able to receive any type of packets in RX_data. There is no signal transition in RX_data, Rx_sof, Rx_eof, Rx_err, Rx_empty, or RX_data_valid signal.

There is no change in firmware but it is working in the SOM board, not in a custom board. Kindly share the details on how to debug the RX section.

Hi Kalainan,

May I know what is the changes on pin assignments between SOM & the custom board?

Regards,
