I've seen several postings regarding the Deinterlacer and bandwidth requirements. For example Table 5 in AN581:
Motion Adaptive Input rate (1080i60): 1920x1080x21.3x30 = 1.327Gbps Output rate(1080p60): 1920x1080x21.3x60 = 2.654Gbps etc.. Does anyone know what the bandwidth would be to run 1080p60 through the Deinterlacer? I see the latency is still there in passthrough so video must follow a similar path as far as the memory. Hi,
In passthrough mode the motion bleed is turned off and the deinterlacer will stop looking more than one frame in the past. So you just need the bandwidth to store the input frames in memory and then get them back (same as the frame buffer). Assuming that your numbers are correct and that the 21.3 number applies to your parameterization you would need : 1920x1080x21.3x60 x 2 = 5.3 Gbps. This will usually be less than when the core deinterlaces 1080i60.- Mark as New
