Error: Can't place node "mem_addr[0]" -- illegal location assignment PIN_ N16

Hi everybody, 

This error appears when I try to complie the example design generated by ALTMEMPHY IP, I don't understand what's the error meaning and why it appears,how can I handle with it?

Posting the complete (expanded) error text would be necessary to understand the conflict nature, you should also tell the FPGA type. Problems of this kinds arise when not executing every step as suggested in the manual, e.g. not importing the tcl scripts with various assignments.

Hi, thank you for you advice, the problem has been soveled. 

I placed the pin using the following way before: 

assignment- import assignment- import the .avs document 

Then I try to place the pin manually, the error disappeared. 

 

Thank you all the same, I will give more error information next time~~~

please can you tell me what should I do when I have this kind of errrors:  

 

Error (171016): Can't place node "mem_dq[0]" -- illegal location assignment 3
