Thank you for contacting Intel Community.
Please be noted that Intel FPGA requires details information for failure analysis request. Please help to answer questions below in order for us to better understand your position.
1. What is the failure rate? What is the failure rate vs. tested sample? Example: 2 out of 100 units.
2. What is the failure symptom? Please elaborate the failure symptom in detail.
3. Did you swap the failure device to a known good board? Is the failure following the device or board?

Hi Wani,
Happy New Year!
Please find our reply as below, thanks.
What is the failure rate? What is the failure rate vs. tested sample? Example: 2 out of 100 units.
Failure rate is 1/14.
- What is the failure symptom? Please elaborate the failure symptom in detail.
Run “MISC_FPGA_P2PM” test is failed at PCBP2 test station, measure the impedance of signal “MIFPGA2_SPARE1” is abnormal compare to signals “MIFPGA2_SPARE0” & “MIFPGA2_SPARE2”, there is a short failure for SPARE1(pin U12) to P3V0.
The value on the failed board is 3.3 ohm, but the normal value on KGB is about 1.196M ohm.
- Did you swap the failure device to a known good board? Is the failure following the device or board?
Not did the swap experiment on a known good board, but measure the impedance of signal “MIFPGA2_SPARE1” on the removed MIFPGA U127, and confirmed the short failure follows this removed part itself.
Best Regards!
