NCO and Qsys

The NCO IP core is available through the IP catalog and also as a Qsys component. When adding the NCO through the IP Catalog in Quartus 14.0, I have no problems. When adding the NCO through Qsys, it reports an error that the NCO is not compatible with my device (Cyclone IV E). The documentation links both point to the same PDF - http://www.altera.com/literature/ug/ug_nco.pdf

I was assuming the cores were identical, just the interfaces were created in different manners. Is this not the case?

Indeed this is strange. You can contact the Altera support to ask the question.

Hello!Have you already solved this problem?

I have Quartus 14 and when I want to add nco ip-core into qsys, it (ip-core) doesn't support for Cyclone V device family!
