Need a sample .rbf file that the PFL can recognize and be able to configure the FPGA

Hi

Will like a sample .rbf file that the PFL can recognize and be able to configure the FPGA. We will like to use it whilst we are developing our hardware platform for sending this .rbf file via I2C to the Parallel Flash Loader (PFL).

.rbf file should already include the Option Bits (in binary form)

Regards,

Kevin

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Intel community.

Sorry to tell you that we do not provide .rbf file sample. This is because, the .rbf file is depending on how customer created it.

If the .rbf was direct convert using Convert Programming File, PFL cannot configure the .rbf file.

If the .rbf is created by using NIOS II command, then PFL can configure the .rbf file.

Hope this help. Apologize for the inconveniences.

Regards,

Aiman

You can close this ticket. Had to install an older version of quartus to get the NIOS II shell to launch successfully and together with cygwin I was able to execute the nios ii command that converted .exout to .rbf
