Setting Parameters in DDR2 HP Controler for DDR2 sodimm

Hi, 

 

I have a new board with CIII (EP3C55F780) and DDR2 SDRAM (sodimm). 

I plan to use Altera DDR2 HP controller. However, there are many parameter 

set in the user interface. 

 

I found the document for the targetted DDR2 sodimm (NANYA NT512T64UH8B0FN-3C or HYNIX HYMP564S64CP6-Y5) and tried to  

enter those parameters. Somehow, the DDR2 is not working yet.  

 

At this moment, I have to assume the PCB layout is correct. Also, 

I have verified the DDR2 sodimm works in a laptop. 

 

I need suggestion on general work flow of setting DDR HP controller. 

Is it good enough to copy the vender paramer (tMRD, tRAS, etc) to  

the user interface? Anything else could be wrong? 

 

Any help will be highly appreciated.

There are walkthrough tutorials in Volume 6 of the EMI handbook.
