Purpose of "rx_recovclkout"
Hello,
I'm using the TSE IP implemented on an Arria V GX FPGA to communicate with an external MODEM over SGMII.
My design is sending data to the IP synchronous to "tx_clk" over the "gmii_tx_d" bus and receiving data synchronous to "rx_clk" over the "gmii_rx_d" bus.
What's the purpose of the "rx_recovclkout" signal ?

Hi,
"rx_recovclkout" signal is recovery clock from SERDES PMA block.
For TSE, this signal is not commonly used.
One of the used case for this signal is like for "Synchronous Ethernet" application that required to sync up the recover clock from SERDES channel to external SyncE PLL on the board.

Thanks.

HI,
I hope I had explained on the clock usage to you.
For now, I am setting this case to closure.
Feel free to post new forum thread for future enquiry.
Thanks.
