Hi, 

I just fired up our new custom board, and guess what, the network didn't start. 

And I am in a hurry. 

I have done a lot of work with phy's, but never via Nios. So could any of you gurus out there give me a few hint's? 

 

When running the SSS example, and disabling the DHCP, the server starts. 

The board is not connected to anything. 

But when I try to read from 0x200 it returns ffff. And no activity on signal tap. 

 

So: 

How to get all the debug messages turned on? 

And, has someone out there managed to get the loopback to work? 

 

I assume that the mac has been initialized since the server reports ok. 

 

I am about to start reading up on this, but it has been a while since I played with the fun stuff.
