Hello Everyone,
I just installed Quatus II 9.1. full edition. I tried to use MegaWizard Plug-In Manager to configure SAS/SATA IP for HardCopy or Arria II GX. In MegaWizard Plug-In Manager page2a, I could not find SAS/SATA from the "Installed Plug-Ins" megafunction list. I can see others like SerialLite, SDI, I/O - ALTGX, etc. explicitly. But there are no explicit items for SAS/SATA. Do the Quartus II 9.0 or earlier version Altera Tools have SAS/SATA? Thanks for your advices in advance, TomLink Copied

To my knowledge, Altera does not have a SATA IP core.
You can look for 3rd party cores: http://www.nuvation.com/ip/sataa.html Jake- Mark as New

I checked both sites; they offer SATA/SAS for Altera.
I like to use Altera Arria II and hardcopy which provide more Serdes pins to help SAS/SATA expander and port multiplier applications... Thank both of you, Tom
