The FPGA model I use is 10M04SCU169C8G. Why is there no "Dual compressed images" option in the "Configuration mode" parameter of the Altera On-Chip Flash IP core?

Hi,

simple reason, compact type (10MxxxSC) doesn't support dual image. Review feature table in device overview

Hi FvM,

So, doesn't the "10M04SCU169C8G" have the ability to upgrade remotely?  Thanks for the answer.

Hi,

according to my understanding, remote update is possible, but without fail-safe factory image. In case of interrupted update process, the FPGA has to be reprogrammed via JTAG.
