Altera Generic QUAD SPI controller - alternative flash memory

I need use Altera Generic QUAD SPI controller in my Platform Designer. I choose this memory: MT25QL512ABA, but this memory is not available to buy. I found recommended replacement: MT25QL512ABB, but MT25QL512ABB is not in QUAD SPI controller. Is it possible choose in QUAD SPI controller MT25QL512ABA and in my project realy use MT25QL512ABB? Will it not be a problem with this?

Hi VKoto,

In theory the MT25QL512ABB should compatible with MT25QL512ABA. The difference is the last character (A or B) means the die revision. However we do not have this specific MT25QL512ABB device here to test with the Altera Generic QUAD SPI controller.
