When powered on the Altera cyclone v FPGA board, the general seven segment display and LED are not blinking. Before this it was displaying. When i check the power adopter, it shows  12.5v. What may be issues, please reply.

Thanks for the response. Device is 5CGXFC5C6F27C7. When powering on D5 led only is glowing, which is an indication of 12v. But other normal displaying of board like segment display and rest led are in OFF condition. Waiting for your reply on this issue.

Hi

Pressing the reset button has no effect on the board. Same as before.

Hi

Good Day,

Thank you for the information that were provided to us last time. Apologies for late response due to weekend day. Below here are the suggestions to debug your devkit Led issue:

1)Do you have another cyclone V device ? can you try to connect it with the host/workstation/server and see if you still seeing the same issue ?

2) You may try change into new jumper wires.

3) Reprogram the .sof file.

Thanks

Elina

Hi,

the board can be identified as Terasic Cyclone V GX starter kit.
You either deleted/replaced the factory configuration or - in the worse case - managed to damage the board.

Did you try the "Restore Factory Configuration" procedure described in user manual?

Thanks for your valuable suggestion.

After opening the jumper and closing the jumper in  jp15 and jp16 position again, now the normal displaying is occuring (LED and seven segment dispalying) and board is also programming, however there are some issue arises. Power is off to the board but the D5 led indication of 12v is blinking suddenly and then disappears , this occurs in repeated manner. Second thing, in my developed system, i am setting some default setup for the leds through push button switch for data acquistion from another board. That was working fine. But now that default set up of LED position is not remaining stable, after setting it should capture data, but that default setting is changing automatically, so i am not able to collect data. Third when FPGA board is connected to another board, current fluctuation is occurring in power supply that is connected with the FPGA. Please reply as soon as possible, as I am not able to do my work. I have got this single board now, no new board with me now. Waiting for reply.

Thanks

Pratap

LED blinking although "power to the board is off" suggests that power is coming inadvertently through external connection. Please show complete external wiring of your board.

LED blinking is stopped now, after connecting to a new external power source. But the rest two problem remains. In my developed system, i am setting some default setup for the leds through KEY button  for data acquistion from another board. That was working fine. But now that default set up of LED position is not remaining stable, after setting it should capture data, but that default setting is changing automatically, so i am not able to collect data. Also, when FPGA board is connected to data acquisition board, current fluctuation is occurring in power supply that is connected with data acquisition board. please suggest on this.
