I just ordered a DE1 design kit and I want to applay analog to digital converter on the board.
This is the link of the DE1 Manual (anyway you'll find it on the dvd provided with the board)http://www.innovatenordic.com/download/document/de1_usermanual_v1018.pdf There aren't VGA ADCs but DACs (4bit resistor network as you can read on the manual). If you want an ADCs you need to apply it by yourself (on the Terasic website you can find some useful AD/DA card) I hoe I was of help to you. GP
Thank you for the fast replay.I was wrong with the VGA DAC; I need ADC. I've read about a sigma delta ADC applying by FPGA, very interesting! (attached link at the end). Do you familiar with this concept? Can it be applied on the DE1? Sorry I'm just a beginner so I can't be helpful to you. Anyway Cyclone II (it's placed on the DE1 board right?) support LVDS signals so I think it's possible to use LVDS as ADCs as described in the link you gave me.you can find more infos about sigmadelta on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/delta-sigma_modulation or try this tutorial by analog device: http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/tutorials/mt-022.pdf http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/tutorials/mt-023.pdf because of I'm interested in applying a ADC to my board (DE0) too, if you can get results, can you share with me? :) regards GP
