Arria 10 Programming File Generator

Hi,

Is there POF or JIC file generator for Arria 10?

I'm using Quartus 20.1 and the device family drop down list doesn't contain Arria 10 option.

I partially misread this.  I saw the screenshot and thought you were trying to convert a programming file from A10 to S10.  My mistake.

The "5" families are not supported in Quartus Pro.

You're looking at the wrong part of the tool.  You want File -> Convert Programming Files.

FYI, individual device family downloads are here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/660925/intel-quartus-prime-pro-edition-design-s...

Make sure you click the Individual Files tab.

You can't convert programming files from one device family to another.  You have to install the device family you want to use (.qdz file from the Download Center), and compile the design, targeting that device.  Once you compile the design, you can convert between different programming file formats, but not to different device families.

If you can't create a new design (New Project Wizard) or change the device family (Assignments menu -> Device) to what you want, then the device family is not installed.

I only installed this particular 20.1 version and it has all "10" families except ARRIA. Older "5" families are not available as well, but it's not a problem for my file conversion. My Arria SOF is working fine on my Arria FPGA. I would just need to have a utility to convert my Arria SOF to Arria POF or JIC.

From the download center, searching by any device family will pop up the same ID 660925 regardless Arria, Stratix, Cyclone etc.

Then why would the generator tool shows all other families bundled into 1 version but exclude Arria?

I did not notice any difference in selecting any of the family. Can you advise how to select a version that can convert Arria SOF to Arria POF or JIC?

Please use "convert programming file" to convert instead of this. This is meant for some dedicated devices only.

Thanks, @sstrell and @YuanLi_S_Intel .

I used the "File -> Convert Programming Files" option and can now convert to POF and JIC.
