Board Extension for DE1-SoC

Hello,

I'm looking for a solution how to connect to make "available" the DE1-SoC board for sensor boards with limited number of contacts, e.g. from here:

http://store.digilentinc.com/pmod-expansion-modules/pmod-boards/

On DE1-SoC there are two 40-pins headers (please see the snapshot below).

It would be nice to have some extension board that wires one (or better two) 40-pins header(s) to several standard headers (e.g. Pmod from Digilent, that have 6 or 12 pins).

Is someone aware of such extension boards ?

Thanks in advance.

If nothing better comes along, you can just take a 40-pin IDE ribbon cable and solder as many breakout headers as you care to. Not as good as a PCB, but the price is right.

You mean "nest" at other side of 40-pin ribbon cable several "low-pins" breakout headers connected to several let say sensor modules ?

In this case power problem arises: each of these two 40-pin headers disposes only 2 PWR and 2 GND (please see the snapshot of schematic fragment).

So only 2 sensor modules per header can be connected this way.

I envisaged anther solution, like that realized for Zync MicroZed board: FPGA board is inserted into I/O Carrier Card that provides access to 12 Pmod-based external modules (please, see the snapshot below).
