Board selection for object tracking for 3x720p cameras.

Hi all,

I need to choose a board which ı will drive 3 different 720p cameras. I will first implement image processing(object tracking or any operation) on images and then rescale the 3 images on a full screen. How should I select the board ?. Which specifications should I need to worry about?. And what board do you suggest ?

Btw, this cameras uses SMPTE 296M encoding standard( embedded synch.) and YUV 4:2:2 pixel format. Do ı need to convert the YUV 4:2:2 format to RGB to operate the image processing or without convertion directly working on YUV 4:2:2 format and then convert to RGB?.

Thank you for your interest.

Hi,

May I know what type of interface are you using for your camera? Do you have any performance requirement? What type of algorithm are you planning to used in FPGA? You can either use YUV or RGB. If you plan to use Intel IP to process the image then please refer to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/products/intellectual-property/ip/dsp/m-alt-vipsuite.html for all the available IP.
