ByteBlaster II Driver Install on windows 20h2

I can't get the drivers to install on a windows 20h2 installation. I have tried DPINST.exe, bblpt, and manual through the control panel pointing to the driver. Does anyone have any ideas. I have disabled UAC as well...

DPINST just says an error occured.

bblpt says it cannot start the service.

and control panel says a problem was encountered while attempting to add the driver to the store.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Intel community.

That might be due to issue with USB Blaster II. Kindly follow the workaround in KDB below (it is also applicable for USB Blaster):

https://www.intel.com/content/altera-www/global/en_us/index/support/support-resources/knowledge-base/tools/2021/why-does-the-intel--fpga-download-cable-ii-driver-installation-f.html

Thanks.

Aiman
