Byteblaster compatible expresscard parallel ports

Hi

I've bought an off-the-shelf expresscard parallel port for use with a laptop, however it doesn't appear under "ports" under "device manager" (Win XP). It does appear as "USB Printing Support". There are no drivers for the card, and I'm not sure whether it supports ECP/EPP (or whether that's relevant). It's an st-lab C-370.

We use our own special cables to connect to the board, so migrating to USB-Blaster would be a royal pain in the butt!

Are there any makes of expresscard or PCMCIA parallel ports that are known to work with ByteBlaster?

Did you notice what's been said about installing the Windows LptPort support in this previous thread?

Hello,

Franks, thanks for the link! I did not see it before. I did not try the Byteblaster yet, it so I can't say it will or will not work. However it seems the LPT1 solution is a bit tricky? Am I better off just to invest $40-$50 and buy the USB cable? If so which one should I get?

Thanks,

Eitan
