Can someone please point me to the documentation or tutorials or anything that explains how to connect the ARM Core in a Cyclone V to the FPGA? We would like our students to be able to be able to create peripheral devices and interface them to the core.

We are updating our labs and would like to build the labs for several courses around the Terasic DE-1 boards that we use to teach digital electronics to also use the boards to teach Microprocessors. I'm pretty sure information exists on how to build an SoC using the ARM core and the FPGA but I can't find it. I was hoping that someone can point us in the right direction.

Start with this online training:

Continue on to the related courses listed on that page. The trainings include links to documentation as well.

Also, refer to the rocket boards which provide example project, training, and steps in each phase of the SoC design.

See the doc: 'Cyclone V Hard Processor System Technical Reference Manual' chapter 9 'HPS-FPGA Bridges'.
