Hi ,
My customer wanted to confirm the following question, can you help?
I understand where you are coming from with respect to non-volatile programming.
However for our purposes, we are needing to use volatile key programming.
The on-board C5G USB-Blaster cable works fine for it without tamper protection mode being set, however not when the mode is in-use.
I am still unsure as to why this is. Would you be able to confirm for me from Intel whether setting the tamper protection bit is possible whilst using volatile security key programming on Cyclone V FPGAs or if it is only a mode that can be used with non-volatile keys?
Best Regards.
Mandy.

Hi,
Once tamper bit protection is enabled, you cant program volatile security key programming using Quartus Programmer.
You can program both volatile and non volatile security key using Quartus Programmer if tamper bit protection is not enabled.
Thank You.
