Cannot Instantiate Cyclone V In platform Designer

Hi,

I am trying to instantiate Cyclone V hard processor in platform designer, but I am getting this error:

Could someone please let me know why is this?

When and where exactly are you seeing this?  Is the target device for your project an SoC device?

I am using DE1 SoC board, when I am trying to add The hard-core processor, it shows this error

Can you confirm that your target device is an SoC variant?  If the target device is not set correctly, you won't be able to add the HPS IP.

yes, the board is an SoC variant, DE1-SoC Board

I’m not talking about the board. I’m talking about the target device you selected in the Quartus project.

Could you give me the design, I would like to replicate from my side.

Are are you able to replicate the same error again on any new "dummy" design every time? Which other Quartus version are you seeing the error?

Please check your license or try using Quartus lite version or try create a new project.
