Cyclone 10 Evaluation Kit License

Hi,

I have the Intel Cyclone 10 LP Evaluation Kit. I am trying to test the Ethernet Example design but I can not generate a sof file. I am getting the following warning:

Warning (115003): Can't generate programming files for your current project because you do not have a valid license for the following IP core or cores.
Warning (115005): Unlicensed IP: "Triple-Speed Ethernet

How can I get a license for the evaluation kit?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ahmed,

You can simulate license IP core without license if you are using Intel IP Evaluation Mode and you would need license only if you want to have production. The issue could be due to your support simulator which has license or not. For Intel Modelsim AE, you will need license and Start Edition is otherwise. Also refer to each IP core's user guide for parameterize steps and implementation

details.

You may have to refer to link below related to AN 320: Using Intel® FPGA IP Evaluation Mode

Hi Ahmed,

You must obtain a license for the Intel FPGA IP to generate programming files that you may use for an unlimited time. To obtain a license file, visit the Self-Service Licensing Center or contact your local Intel FPGA representative. May refer to link below.

Contact your local sales or distributor for more details.

Thank you for your reply. I managed to generate a time-limited sof file for testing. Is a license for the  IP Core also required for simulation? I am getting an error concerning the TSE Core when I try starting the simulation. I thought it was possible to simulate the design for testing before buying the IP Core license.

Thank you.
