I have 2 demonstration example: DE3_260_DDR2_1G_1RANK (come with DE3 CD), and DE3_NET_260_GMII_NET0 (come with Ethernet-HSMC Card CD). both of these examples are works fine with the same configurations.
The configuration of DDR2 SDRAM High-Performance Controller (SOPC IP Core) in both example are different:
DE3_260_DDR2_1G_1RANK:
1. Use High Performance Controller version 2
2. Change board setting values
3. Use custom preset which specified for DDR2 1G
DE3_NET_260_GMII_NET0:
1. Use High Performance Controller version 1
2. Using default board setting values
3. Use custom preset which specified for DDR2 256M
I am working on DE3_NET_260_GMII_NET0 and I have DDR2 1G (not 256M) and in SOPC they recommending me to use High Performance Controller version 2, so I change DDR2 Memory Controller configuration to be like DE3_260_DDR2_1G_1RANK configuratio. the compilation of quartus is pass, and when I programmed Simple Socket Server example I face error (in the attachment).
