Hallo

We want to make a custom hardware board using the EP4CE22F17C8 FPGA. I have found the pin out file for EP4CE22 series. I am looking for the PCB footprint for this FPGA. Can any one suggest me where i can find the PCB footprint for this FPGA. I am not a hardware engineer but one of my colleagues told me that the hardware engineer would need this file. It would be nice also if anyone could suggest me the files and steps needed to design the hardware.

Hallo

Thanks for the reply. I will ask my colleague who will do the hardware if this file works from him. I will update you as soon as i hear something from him

Is this the file that you are looking for?

Hallo Sunshine,

The version of the FPGA we are using is 144 pins, not the one with 256 pins. What my colleague needs is the schematic library for the pcb design. As far as i know there is something called Eagle CAD libraries, and cyclone 4 is not included in that library. So is it possible to get this library from some where? or we have to draw it manually?

Oh, I got the previous pdf from this link:

http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53707&p=220107#post220107

I clicked the one next to EPC4E F17 - and it gave me the 256 pins pdf (perhaps a wrong link?). You can check the rest of the package information from there.

I am not really sure about CAD libraries (not a board developer) but I went to the link below:

https://www.altera.com/downloads/download-center.html#

and on the left side column there are download sections for "board layout and test" and "board system design". Could be what you are looking for...

If you can not find the library file, he/she (the hardware engineer) should be able to make it in the software of his/her choice. I'm an EE and often times there is the need to make footprints for the layout software. It is time consuming but doable.
