EP5368QI, scratches, performance

Hello!

We have ordered P/N EP5368QI and received components with scratches. The supplier was Arrow.

We have no doubt about the origin, but some of our engineers are worried that this may affect performance and are interested in the reasons for their appearance.

We know that this component is obsolete, but is it possible to find out if this is a feature of the manufacturing process? Should we worry about this?

Hello Arthur,

Enpirion has been EOL and we dont have the expert to support this device anymore.

But I will give support based on generic information I have with other devices from Altera.

The pattern you see on the package is just cosmetic deformation and will not impact the electrical and switching characteristics of this device.

I would not recommend you to use EOL components for your future designs.

regards,

Farabi
