Short answer you are out of luck on several levels. The EPM7000S series parts are EOL from Altera/Intel and there is no F/F/F replacements available.

However, Atmel/Microchip does have the current production ATF150x series parts, and the ATF1508AS is a silicon drop in replacement for the EPM7128 part. They offer a tool called POF2JED that can translate an exising Altera POF file for the EPM7128 to a JED file for the ATF1508AS and you can duplicate the functionality.

HOWEVER, the package you use (PQFP100) has been EOL'ed by Atmel/Microchip, so their silicon in that PQFP100 package is no longer available, either.

The TQFP100 package is available, but it is not physically compatible with the PQFP100 footprint.

So it would appear that you are in for a redesign.

Hi CLaur5,

EPM7128SQC100-7 from MAX7000 families is obsolete due to low volumes and declining demand. Hence there is no replacement for the OPN mentioned.

However,  Customer is recommended to use our latest MAX devices which are MAX II, MAX V, and MAX 10 for new design.

Regards,

Aim
