FMC and FMC+ connector compatibility

Hello, I'm trying to understand compatibility between FMC+ and FMC connectors.  The Intel Agilex FPGA M-Series Dev Kit HBM2e Edition (DK-DEV-AGM039FES) has a 560-pin (14x40) FMC+ connector.  Is this compatible with a 400-pin (10x40) FMC connector, such as the one on the TI ADS54J66EVM evaluation board?

If I read this correctly ... https://www.samtec.com/standards/vita/fmc-plus/

there is a degree of backward compatibility. From the second section:

" While new FMC+ cards can only plug into new FMC+ carriers due to their larger connectors, original FMC cards will also fit thanks to a customized polarization system providing true backward compatibility."

So if you have an existing FMC daughtercard you should be able to insert it into your new FMC+ FPGA board.
